Veterans' Justice

"Delay, deny, until they die," is a phrase that many veterans' feel holds true due to how grueling of a process it can be trying to receive what is deserved. Army National Guard Sergeant Major, Rex Surrette, volunteers as a commander of the disabled veterans association to help veterans who may not know the ins and outs of how the VA works. Helping others file claims and assisting in transportation and many other needs of veterans runs deep considering his service. Air Force Corporal, Phillip Dalrymple only receives 30 percent disability, despite having TMJ and meniscus tear that is service connected that didn't improve after surgery from the VA. He now chooses to use private insurance rather than that of the VA. Navy Petty Officer, Mark Evans, dealt with trying to get the proper care for years on end, and has finally reached 80 percent disability after years of claim denials. Each veteran is glad that the VA exist and believe that its intentions are good but all strongly agree that this system needs reconstruction for the betterment of veterans across the country
